A 16-year-old boy is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of the murder of a 47-year-old Dereham woman.
Elaine Walpole was found dead at her flat at Dreibholz Court - opposite Neatherd High School on Norwich Road - on April 29.
Detectives initially said her death was “unexplained” and then described it as “suspicious”.
They have now revealed it is a murder inquiry and the 16-year-old was arrested in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire yesterday afternoon.
A man in his 30s who was previously arrested in connection with the inquiry has been released on bail.
A post mortem examination into the cause of mother-of-three Mrs Walpole's death was inconclusive and further tests are being carried out.
Her body was found by ambulance staff and police were then called.
