A 12-year-old boy was threatened by a man in Ipswich when he refused to take a lift in the stranger's car.

The victim was walking home along Robin Drive when two black Vauxhall Vectras with blacked-out windows and alloy wheels approached him from London Road.

The incident happened between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday, January 10.

One of the drivers asked the boy if he wanted a lift home, but when the boy declined, the driver got out of his car and threatened him so he ran off towards Chantry Green.

The man who accosted him is described as black, aged in his 30s, quite tall, of slim build, with black, spiked hair and he was wearing a light-coloured pin stripe suit.

Both cars headed off towards the Greenfinch Road shops.
