Boy airlifted to hospital

THE air ambulance was called to take a boy with a leg injury to hospital because there were no other ambulances available.

The 12-year-old boy, who has not been named, was airlifted from the sports field in Barretts Lane, Needham Market, just before noon yesterday.

He had suffered a leg injury and the East Anglian Air Ambulance was called to fly him to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds for treatment.
