IRISH pop stars Boyzone are heading back to Suffolk this summer for the finale of Newmarket Nights.

Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy will be performing at the racecourse on Friday, August 14.

The group has achieved 16 consecutive top five hits, six UK number one singles and four number one albums - exceeding sales of 15 million.

Stephen Wallis, racecourse managing director, said: “I am thrilled to be welcoming Boyzone back to Newmarket.

“Their performance last year was amazing and I am sure that they will put on an another dazzling show to wow this year's Newmarket Nights crowd.

“We have now announced 6 out of the 7 acts for 2009 and hope to confirm the one remaining slot in the next few days.”

The summer nights season kicks off on Friday, June 19 with a plethora of 80s talent including performances by Belinda Carlisle, T'Pau, Jonny Hates Jazz, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Midge Ure, Curiosity Killed The Cat and Paul Young.

British stars Lemar, Alesha Dixon and Estelle are on the bill for Friday, June 26 followed by Status Quo on Friday, July 24, Simply Red on Friday, July 31 and Scouting for Girls on Friday, August 7.
