A MAN climbed over the parapet of a bridge and hung, dangling by one hand, until police managed to detain him.The drama closed the A14 for ten minutes at 11pm yesterday , and Inspector Mike Hinshelwood said: "A 36-year-old man, who was believed to have taken an overdose, climbed over the parapet of the A1071 bridge north of the Copdock Interchange.

The drama closed the A14 for ten minutes at 11pm yesterday , and Inspector Mike Hinshelwood said: "A 36-year-old man, who was believed to have taken an overdose, climbed over the parapet of the A1071 bridge north of the Copdock Interchange.
"At one point he was dangling by one hand above the carriageway."
The man was detained by police and taken to Ipswich Hospital.
