GORDON Brown today praised the “inspirational” people of Suffolk and pledged to back The Evening Star's Fightback campaign all the way.
The Evening Star has turned the tables on the doom and gloom merchants - using Fightback as a message of hope as the country battles recession.
The Premier today wrote to the Star saying it was inspiring to see Ipswich and Suffolk pulling together and “fighting for the community.”
Our Fightback campaign is getting messages of support from across the country, from businesses , large and small trying to fend off the worst of the recession.
As today's message from the PM came in we had a strong message back to Mr Brown in Whitehall - urging the Government to get tough on bonus-obsessed bankers.
