FULL of beans, that's a pack of Brownies – thanks to a donation from Norwich and Peterborough Building Society!

Lynn Grimsley is Little Owl at 13th A Ipswich Brownies. She contacted staff at N&P's branch at 30 Tavern Street, Ipswich, to see if they could help to buy something for the group to sit on when they go on their pack holidays.

And the result was a gift of ten beanbags from Julie Beaumont, customer advisor at the branch.

The Brownies have been meeting at Broke Hall since December 1976. Currently 24 girls aged between the ages of seven and ten attend.

Brownies enjoy lots of different activities, including singing, games, badge training and fundraising. The beanbags will also be used for their regular weekly meetings on Wednesday nights and every year when the pack goes away on a holiday to a different part of the country.

As they aren't old enough to camp out, they stay safely overnight in a church hall. Now they will have comfy beanbags to sit on instead of the cold floor!

Lynn said: "All the girls are thrilled with the donation from N&P. The beanbags are great; not only are they very comfortable, they look good too! The beanbags will come in very handy when we go on our pack holiday next year and every week for our meetings."

Julie went along to meet the Brownies and present them with their new beanbags. She said: "I am delighted that we could help the pack as lots of girls in the area learn great new skills by joining. I hope that with support from people in the community, the Brownies will continue to benefit local girls for years to come!
