Kesgrave’s community transport provision has been incorporated into the BSEVC Community Transport umbrella – a specialist charity with more than 25 years of experience running community transport.
In January 2016, BSEVC was awarded the new connecting communities contract for Ipswich and Mid Suffolk, and is now overseeing the Kesgrave Community Transport Scheme.
Kesgrave Town Council organised a series of recruitment events in which volunteers were found, and is now urging residents to use the service.
The service operates Monday-Saturday, and is open to people of any age who struggle to access public transport because of mobility.
The service can be booked by calling 01449 614217 or emailing BSEVC here, and should be booked two weeks in advance.
Journeys of up to five miles for an adult is £2.20, free for under 5s, and £1 for those aged 5-18.
