TV feature about Kay’s Ipswich business
Just 18 months after investing in their Ipswich-based boutique spa, Invigr8, Richard and Kay Klein’s state-of-the-art aqua massage machine, the Aqua Massage XL 250 Profiler, has been reviewed by Channel 4’s Gadget Man.
The Gadget Man episode aired on Monday June 1.
TV presenter Steve Jones and Richard Ayoade, presenter of Gadget Man and also well known for his TV role in The IT Crowd, were invited to test the machine, which is one of only a handful in the UK.
They were intrigued by the prospect of a full body massage with a difference; a fully-automated massage which requires no massage therapist, no undressing and only your shoes removed.
Kay Klein said: “Being chosen to feature on Gadget Man was an exciting prospect and we overcame huge logistical challenges to transport the machine, which is over 6 ft long and exceptionally heavy, from our spa site in Foxhall Road to the TV show’s location. So were very happy when Steve Jones gave our machine an excellent review! It’s helped to reaffirm that we have chosen the best, cutting edge health technology for our customers and we’re really proud to have brought the whole concept of aqua massage to Ipswich.”
The Aqua Massage 250 XL Profiler works using powerful jets of warmed water which manipulate your body as you lie down and relax. All the water is enclosed within the machine’s cushioned interior, so you remain perfectly dry and comfortable throughout.
It’s a “powerhouse” of a massage machine, proven to increase blood circulation, oxygen absorption and the release of endorphins, whilst decreasing inflammation, muscle tension and the ability to ease joint movements.
A ten minute aqua massage yields the equivalent health and wellbeing benefits of 30 - 40 minutes of traditional massage, making it both a fast and affordable way of looking after yourself, she said.
