Ipswich businesses get together for Kesgrave High School event

A group of Ipswich businesses and professionals are getting together to organise a fashion show, at Kesgrave High School on April 27, for a very good cause.

The special event is being put on to raise funds for Ipswich youngster Mason Fountain, to help him travel to the USA later this year for important medical treatment.

Supporting the event are Hair Ministry hair salons, Coes, Sainsbury’s Tu at Warren Heath, Jewellery Box, Felixstowe, House of Beauty, Lets Party and Crystal Sounds disco.

Organiser Zoe Meyer of Hair Ministry said: “We need to raise £3,000 to help Mason go to the USA for his proton treatment. He leaves for the USA soon.

“There are two aims. The aim is to raise as much as we can for Mason, who really deserves it, and to get the young adults involved work experience and something to put on their CVs to help them in their future careers.

“It is going to be a really fun evening, we have local bands and dance groups involved, raffles and other fundraising, with lots of prizes to be won including makeovers.”

Zoe, of Hair Ministry in Foxhall Road, is producing the show along with Helen Waller of MyGo, who has helped with organisation, social media and involving young people from MyGo to enable them to gain work experience.

Zoe added: “Helen has put in a tremendous amount of work, as have a lot of people.

“We have 38 hairdressers involved on the night and there must by around 100 people taking part in one way or another.

“It is really exciting.

“We have the rehearsals coming up to make it a very special night. Now we have to to get those tickets sold to make it reach its target”

Advance tickets are being sold from Hair Ministry salons, Teresa Rush at Kesgrave High School and Sainsburys at Warren Heath.
