AN IPSWICH law firm is today fighting back for Suffolk by offering a free consultation service to small and medium sized businesses.

Kerseys, based in Lloyds Avenue, Ipswich, will also be joining other Suffolk-based professional services firms and exhibit at the Suffolk Show today.

John Hutchinson of Kerseys commercial department said: “Kerseys solicitors have chosen to exhibit at the Suffolk show this year to reflect our confidence in the local economy.”

Mr Hutchinson said the firm is supporting a Law Society initiative to help other traders.

He added: “Particularly in an economic downturn Kerseys understands the importance of maintaining a strong market presence and helping local people and their businesses not only survive the recession but emerge in a stronger position when the economy recovers.

“For this reason the commercial department at Kerseys have decided to support a new Law Society initiative to help small and medium sized businesses by offering a free consultation service.

“Business owners are likely to be analysing their strengths and weaknesses in these challenging times, part of which should be ensuring adequate protection is in place, be that tightly drafted terms and conditions or supply agreements.

“During the free thirty minute consultation the business owner can air any concerns and request a legal audit from which Kerseys' experts can identify any areas of potential vulnerability.”
