A TEAM of businessmen are hoping to bounce their way to a new world record when they take part in an event to raise awareness of testicular cancer.

The Ipswich-based quartet, led by John Levis, managing director at software firm Aevista, will be mounting space hoppers when they take part in the Bounce Your Balls For Cancer event in Brighton on Monday.

The aim is to set a new world record for the most people bouncing on space hoppers at the same time and raising £20,000 for the Orchid Appeal for male cancers.

Up to 1,000 people are expected to take part - the current record is 600.

Mr Levis said: “Getting a few businessmen to bounce on space hoppers may seem like an odd thing to do but it's a great way to raise awareness of testicular cancer and encourage men to bounce their balls for medical reasons on a regular basis.”

Mr Levis is hoping to put on a similar event in Ipswich in September.

Anyone who wants to sponsor the team or join the planned bounce in September can contact him on 07775 626439 or e-mail bounce@aevista.co.uk.
