Ipswich and Cambridge-based Coderus Limited are to co-host their third major technology event of the year. Following on from the successful Microsoft Build and the Google I/O events - Coderus and Innovation Martlesham will bring the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference to Adastral Park.

The event, which is co-sponsored by BT and the IP-Network will be running from 16.30 – 21.00 on Monday 13th June and visitors can register for free tickets by visiting www.coderus.com/wwdc-2016.

Founded 25 years ago, Apple WWDC is an annual conference held in California, used to showcase the latest software, innovation and technology. At the 2016 event, big announcements are expected to be made regarding the future of OS X, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS. The Apple WWDC events have evolved from a cult following to a mainstream global event, with the press, consumers and businesses following with keen interest. The event has in past sold out in record time, with one year selling out in two minutes. The tickets are however now offered in a lottery manner as to try to balance out who can attend.

The WWDC event at Adastral Park will be the only one of its kind in the East of England. Attendees will have the opportunity to benefit from short networking sessions with ICT professionals and take part in interactive demonstrations of Apple technology by the team at Coderus.

Attendees will then be invited into the 350-seated John Bray lecture theatre to watch a live stream broadcast of the all-important WWDC keynote speeches to give visitors the feeling of being at the event in San Francisco.

The live stream keynote speeches will then be followed by an open forum Q&A session with an expert panel of speakers. The discussion will allow attendees to debate the themes and technologies announced by Apple and discuss the possible impact and opportunities for local companies.

The team at Coderus has almost 20 years experience in developing software solutions for a host of platforms and operating systems. Mark Thomas, the MD of Coderus, has attended Apple WWDC for the last 18 years and has worked on Apple technology since the first MacPlus back in 1986. Mark has been a longtime attender of the event, apart from missing one for his son birth one year.

Mark Thomas MD of Coderus said: “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Adastral Park for what will be yet another showcase of the latest technologies and innovations. Having worked with Apple technology for more than 30 years, I am delighted to be part of the WWDC event. I want to thank our sponsors for their support and invite anyone with an interest in Apple’s development to book onto the event.”

The Apple WWDC Event is the latest in a series of successful technology events to be co-hosted at Adastral Park by Coderus and Innovation Martlesham.
