Innovative Google I/O Extended 2016 event to be held at Adastral Park

Ipswich and Cambridge-based Coderus Limited are due to co-host one of only six prestigious Google I/O Extended events in the UK.

The event running from 4.30pm to 9pm on Wednesday May 18, 2016 will be the held at Adastral Park, Martlesham, for the second year running and is co-sponsored by Innovation Martlesham, BT and the IP-Network.

Google I/O is an annual two-day event in California, USA bursting with inspirational talks and a chance for the world to hear about Google’s latest products.

The highlights of the event are the keynote speeches that will be live streamed from the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, USA, the place where it all started for Google ten years ago.

The Google I/0 events have gained a global following, with Extended Events held around the world. Those attending eagerly await the key announcements on the latest technology and software developments.

Rumours circulating around the 2016 event include announcements on Andriod N, Andriod Auto, Google Wear, updates regarding Google Cardboard and a big focus on virtual reality.

The event at Adastral Park, Martlesham, will see visitors take part in interactive product demonstrations, with the team at Coderus showcasing the latest Google technology.

Additionally, visitors can benefit from short networking sessions with ICT professionals.

Attendees will then be invited into the 350-seated John Bray lecture theatre to watch a live stream broadcast of the Google I/O keynote speeches.

Following the keynote speeches, Jim Milne, Business Development for Innovation Martlesham will host an open forum discussion with a specially selected panel of speakers.

The discussion will allow attendees to debate the potential impact and opportunities of the next generation of technology, mobile and beyond.

The event is also a great platform for ICT companies and individuals to benefit from short networking sessions and live demos of Google technology.

Coderus is well positioned to co-host such an event owing to their reputation of being at forefront of high-quality mobile application and embedded software development.

The Google I/O Extended Event is the second of a number of similar events Coderus have planned for 2016, holding Microsoft’s Build event earlier this year and Apple’s WWDC event in June (dates yet to be confirmed).

Mark Thomas MD of Coderus said: “I’m so pleased to see developer events being held at Adastral Park. The Park has an international reputation and the facilities here are ideal for this sort of event. Last year’s event was very successful and I hope this year will be in greater demand. I want to thank our sponsors for their support and invite anyone with an interest in Google’s development to book onto the event.”
