The Harvester Salad & Grill is due to welcome the first diners through the door at their new Nacton restaurant on Tuesday.

Forty jobs have been created by the opening of the new Harvester on the Ravenswood roundabout.

The chain already oeprates a successful restaurant on the Cardinal Park site in the town centre.

Daniel Farnell, Ravenswood Harvester’s manager, said: “Our new restaurant will be the ideal setting to meet family and friends, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere that people will want to return to time after time. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests of all ages in when we are open in a few weeks’ time.”

The new restaurant is close to the Futura Park development, home to John Lewis/Waitrose, DFS, Paul Simon, Furniture Village, Oak Furniture Land, Costa Coffee and Carphone Warehouse and signals fresh hope that the local economy is taking an upwards turn.
