The Ipswich office of accountancy and business advice firm Grant Thornton has relocated from its former home in Crown House to a modern building in Compair Crescent, on the edge of the town centre.

The firm says the new base for its team of 40 people in the town offers improved facilities both for clients and staff, including on-site parking, as well as being just short walk from Ipswich railway station.

Practice leader James Brown said: “Grant Thornton has operated in Ipswich for more than 30 years and as part of our ongoing commitment to the local and regional market, we are continually investing in and developing the services we offer clients.

“Our move to larger, more accessible premises in Compair Crescent firmly underpins this and along with our offices in Norwich and Cambridge, the new Ipswich base will enable us to expand upon our strong presence across the East Anglian region.

“This reflects Grant Thornton’s overall growth strategy, locally, nationally and internationally, and as part of this we are also planning to open a new office in Essex later this year.”
