Harry Kane's fiancee Kate Goodland celebrated England's glorious World Cup win in true style on Sunday, from the comfort of a tipi provided by Suffolk's very own company Events Under Canvas.

Ms Goodland not only watched the game in the big tent, which was erected in the garden of her Essex home last Thursday, but she also held her baby shower in it.

Ms Goodland, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child, chose to stay in Essex with their daughter Ivy instead of joining Harry in Russia. The 25 year-old posted pictures on Instagram of herself and her friends in matching outfits watching the footie, which have since gone viral.

“It all came as quite a shock to us,” said the company’s founder Jenna Ackerley. “The order was all very last minute, and we didn’t realise who the tipi was for, but we were very happy to set it up for someone to watch the game in. Then on Monday morning, one of our crew, who is a huge Harry Kane fan, saw that people had been sharing Kate’s post.”

A post sharing Kate’s picture by sportbible, which has so far had 66,277 likes, reads: “Harry Kane‘s fiancée @KateGoodersxx can’t go to the World Cup because she’s pregnant, so she set up a giant tepee to watch the football in instead. Class!”

The pictures have since been picked up by several national news outlets, giving plenty of positive exposure to the small company from Capel St Mary. As well as hiring out 16 giant tipis, Events Under Canvas has 3 sailcloth tents and 27 bell tents.

Ms Ackerley, 38, said: “We are so delighted that we supplied a tipi for Harry’s girlfriend to watch him score a hat trick in! We were all very excited to have been part of such a special occasion for the family. The whole family were really lovely to work with, and were very welcoming to our crew.”

Ms Ackerley says she’s even received congratulations on the exposure from another tipi company in Australia.

She’s hoping the exposure will encourage others to hire her tents for other sport-watching occasions.”It’s not the norm for us, we normally do parties, weddings and festivals - but maybe Kate will start a trend!”

Events Under Canvas were last year’s winners in the ‘One to Watch’ category of the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards.

While the company usually has to hammer stakes into the ground to secure a tipi, Ms Goodland’s garden tent set up was on astroturf. “We had to use a specially designed concrete ballast system to allow us to safely erect the tipi without the use of stakes,” Ms Ackerley explained. “Our crew designed the system to allow us to build a tipi at the Arc shopping centre in Bury St Edmunds in May.”
