An Ipswich architectural practice has taken on five new members of staff just months after moving to bigger premises.
Nicholas Jacob Architects moved from Berners Street to Wherry Quay on the Waterfront in Ipswich in June and since then its team has grown from 12 to 17.
New members of staff include architectural technologist Ian Rowland who has taken on a lead role with the technical design and building regulation requirements, and senior architect Stephen Jeffrey who will oversee much of the company’s historic building appraisals.
Also joining the team are architectural assistants Elliott Jones, Lara Bettencourt-Gomes and Scott Alexander.
Partner Shaun Soanes said: “Over the last few years we have grown rapidly and this is the latest influx of talent to bolster our already excellent team.”
The firm, which is celebrating its 20th year in business, has worked on a number of landmark developments across the region including repairs and restoration of Darsham House near Saxmundham, the conservation of The Abbey in Bury St Edmunds and the development of Gippeswyk Hall in Ipswich on behalf of the Red Rose Chain Theatre.
