Leap day treatments in Ipswich helping charity

In celebration of the recently opened Harbour Beauty Clinic - at 27 High Street, Ipswich - owner and beauty therapist Susanna Mansukhani has decided to offer customers special treatments on Leap Day, 2February 29, to raise funds for the children and young person’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent.

So 25/% of the cost of all treatments on Monday February 29 will be donated to CLIC Sargent and for every extra treatment added onto an initial booking, Harbour Beauty Clinic is pledging to donate the full cost to support CLIC Sargent’s work with children and young people with cancer. Treatments range from massages to Gelish nail lacquer; from eyelash extensions to waxing and much more.

A Leap Year means everyone gets an extra day February 29th and Harbour Beauty Clinic which offers a range of high - end beauty treatments and products are hoping customers will make their Leap Day extra special by pampering themselves while at the same time doing something to help support children and young people with cancer.

Susanna felt inspired to do something to support CLIC Sargent when she heard about the services they provide each day.

Susanna said: “CLIC Sargent will be providing around 850 hours of support to young cancer patients on Leap Day alone so I just felt that if we could do something to bring awareness of this and raise funds to help them continue their work, we’d be making that extra day count.”

“For those who are new to the Harbour Beauty Clinic, we hope they’ll take the opportunity to visit us and make a difference to young cancer patients by taking us up on this brilliant offer”

Fundraising manager at CLIC Sargent, Daisy Turner says: “We are thrilled that Susanna has chosen to support CLIC Sargent at her beautiful new clinic. This is a great offer for anyone hoping to make their Leap Day count.

“Last year in Suffolk alone, our service team at Ipswich and Addenbrooke’s hospitals supported 70 families coping with cancer which is why the support of local businesses is so important.

Can you and your colleagues raise enough to fund a CLIC Sargent Nurse for a day? It costs £210 a day to fund a CLIC Sargent Nurse, CLIC Sargent nurses coordinate clinical and non-clinical care for children with cancer to maximise the amount of time they can safely stay at home. You could donate a day or a few hours salary, it soon adds up!”
