A Suffolk company which is setting new standards in day care for dogs has been named among the winners at the 2018 Pet Industry Forum & Awards event.
Suffolk Canine Creche, based at Martlesham, near Woodbridge, picked up the Pet Service Business of the Year trophy at the ceremony, which was held at Whittlebury Hall, near Towcester in Northamptonshire.
Candace Rose, managing director and founder of Suffolk Canine Creche, said: “We are thrilled to win such a prestigious title, awarded by our peers, having been recognised in this award programme previously.
“This particular accolade is wonderful for our team of dedicated staff as it recognises all that we do and rewards everyone’s contributions.”
She added: “We are delighted to place Suffolk on the map and represent our county, we have strong local values and love to promote this area.”
Suffolk Canine Creche, which was launched in 2011, is now part of the Canine Creche Group which is rolling out the concept through a network of franchises and company-owned sites.
The group was sponsor of the One To Watch category in this year’s EADT Business Awards, an award the Suffolk Canine Creche won last year as a graduate of the Future50 programme for up-and-coming businesses in Suffolk and Norfolk.
Its first franchise, the Bury St Edmunds Canine Creche, is celebrating its one year anniversary this week, other centres are also now up and running in Needham Market and Lincoln and the group is in the process of launching another site in Ipswich.
It is also currently helping law firm Eversheds Sutherland to stage a special “Bring your dog to work day” at its London office, by providing a “pop-up” creche on site.
The event is the idea of the Eversheds Sutherland’s co-chief executive, Lee Ranson, who said: “This is a great opportunity for colleagues to bring their four-legged friends in to the office. I’m very much looking forward to hosting our canine companions and crossing everything that my dog, Poppy, behaves herself!”
Candace Rose added: “We are thrilled to be involved in this wonderful event and look forward to meeting all of the dogs and their owners taking part. We hope they have a ‘pawesome’ day with us!”
