HEARTTHROB pop star Charlie Simpson is promising A Present For Everyone this Christmas.

The teenage frontman of million-selling boy band Busted also revealed he is planning a couple of surprises for his fans next year.

He hopes to play a homecoming gig in Suffolk next summer and is putting together a new rock band as a side project.

Busted are set to beat Britney Spears to the number one spot in the singles chart this Sunday with current hit Crashed The Wedding.

It is taken from the boys' second album, called A Present For Everyone, which is out on Monday.

Charlie from Woodbridge, said: "I much prefer this album to the first one. It has got a more live sound and there's more guitar.

"The single is looking good for number one. It was number one in the midweek charts but we're not taking anything for granted."

The 18-year-old, who formed Busted with James Bourne and Matt Jay two years ago, heads out on the group's first major arena tour in February.

"I'm really looking forward to it. There is also a possibility of a show in Ipswich next summer, possibly at Christchurch Park or Portman Road," he said.

"That would be a real homecoming for me and I hope it can be sorted out. It would be fantastic."

Charlie is looking forward to spending Christmas in Woodbridge with parents Mike and Tessa and brothers Will and Ed.

Then he will join up with his bandmates for rehearsals for the forthcoming tour and promoting the band's new album.
