Busy night for firefighters

FIREFIGHTERS tackled a car on fire in Sheldrake Drive, Ipswich.The crew from Princes Street were called at 11pm yesterday and used one hose reel to extinguish flames.

FIREFIGHTERS tackled three vehicles and three skips on fire overnight.

A crew from Princes Street were called to a car on fire in Sheldrake Drive, Ipswich at 11pm yesterday. It was out by 11.20pm.

In the early hours of this morning residents reported there was a car and transit van on fire in the car park near the Orwell Country park, off Sandyhill Lane, Ipswich, at 2.30am today. The fire was out by 3.05am.

Meanwhile, a fire crew in Stowmarket was called out to three separate incidents of skips on fire within the space of 40 minutes. The first happened at 12.20am, in Semer Close, a second one was started in Glemsford Road at 12.35am and the final fire broke out in Abbot's Hall Road at 1am.
