A before and after school club based at Sidegate Primary School has maintained its ‘good’ Ofsted rating.

The Cabin Crew Out of School Club was inspected on October 26, where it was rated ‘good’ in all areas, maintaining its ‘good’ rating from its last inspection in June 2015.

In her report, inspector Gill Thornton praised staff for planning exciting activities, allowing children to try activities they may not be able to do at home or in school and providing a memory book for children for when they leave.

The report said that children were “confident and self-assured” and “enjoy sharing their ideas and views with others knowing that their voices will be listened to”.

Sidegate Primary School itself was last inspected in March this year, where it too was given a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted inspectors – its first as an academy under the Active Learning Trust.
