A cake sale in aid of an Ipswich cause Bear for an Angel, which supports families who have been affected by miscarriage and child loss, raised £55 at the weekend.

The bake for a bear event was held in Limerick Close on Saturday.

Founder of Bear for an Angel, Michelle Dayson, said: “It was lovely try something different to bring the community together for such a great cause.

“These fundraising events are vital to our non-profit organisation, so that we can continue our work to provide memory packages to so many families affected by pregnancy, baby and child loss.”

Another fundraising event, a day of hope and remembrance and family fun day, has been organised at Foxhall Community Centre on Saturday, August 13, from 10am-4pm.

The event will feature a remembrance tent, where people can light a candle in memory of a baby or child, as well as face painting, glitter tattoos, a mega slide, football shootout and a number of stalls.
