IT'S time to support your carnival!

Felixstowe Carnival Association will be holding its annual meeting on Monday and would love anyone interested in helping organise next year's event to join them.

This year's carnival was a huge success with one of the longest and most colourful parades ever, and soon planning will start for the 2002 extravaganza.

The carnival, which has been a part of Felixstowe's life for more than 60 years, is run by a small team and they need extra help to keep it going and make it bigger and better.

Anyone who would like to join the committee, or could offer other forms of help in the preparations or on the carnival day itself, is asked to attend the annual meeting to find out more details about what is involved.

The meeting is being held at St Felix Church Hall in the grounds of St Felix Roman Catholic Church, Gainsborough Road, at 7.30pm.

Also on the evening, the committee will be distributing cash raised at this year's big day to a number of local charities and good causes.
