The RSPCA is calling on animal lovers to open their homes and hearts to these lovable creatures at its centre in Martlesham.
First off on this week’s list is Rory, the three year old Beagle. He loves his walks and walks well with other dogs so would be suited to a home with other canines, but unfortunately, he is not a cat person. He would benefit from an experienced home where everyone is at least 16 years old. The poor boy does suffer from epilepsy though but this is kept under control by medication that he eats with his food, could this sweet boy be the companion for you?
Next up is Buzz, the five year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, This sweet staffie enjoys his walks and playing fetch with tennis balls. Buzz is looking for an adult home where he can be the only pet, an experienced bull breed owner is needed to help him overcome any issues whilst settling into his new home. Buzz is a great dog who will make a super companion to the right home.
Meet Tia, the eight year old Boxer cross. She is a soppy girl that has spent a lot of time in the offices at the centre with the staff and she is proving how affectionate she can be and absolutely loves playing with her toys and enjoys a nice stroll. She can ideally be re-homed with a calm male dog, cats are fine as well as living with teenagers. Ideally though, Tia’s new home would be local due to further veterinary treatment she will require.
How about Milly the eight year old cat - could she be perfect for your home? This proud feline loves to laze around in soft blankets and have the odd fuss on her terms as this particular feline likes being left to relax in peace.
Next up on our list is Fergie and Lilian, Both cats are very affectionate and sweet natured but can be a little bit timid when put in new, unfamiliar situations. They can’t resist having a good sunbathe when the sun is out, do you reckon you have room in your family for two more?
And last but by no means least, Belle and Jack the rabbits. Belle is a sprightly character and loves to have a run but requires a little more socialising to help her become more relaxed when being handled. Jack is a sweet bunny that enjoys the company of people so would preferably require a new home which can continue his socialising and giving him the company he desires. Belle and Jack came into the centre separately but have now been paired together and have happily bonded.
The RSPCA assures families that all cats, dogs, ferrets and rabbits that are offered for adoption have been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
An adoption fee of £150 for dogs, £60 for cats and £25 for rabbits and ferrets, is charged to help cover the cost of getting the animals ready for their new homes.
