Over the years Ipswich has managed to attract a wide variety of musical stars to perform to audiences.
The Gaumont has hosted the likes of Elvis Costello, The Kinks, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy, Tina Turner and even PJ and Duncan but it is without a doubt that the most famous act to grace the stage was The Beatles.
They played at The Gaumont, now known as The Regent, during the 1960s during the infamous ‘Summer of Love’.
The Regent still regularly hosts stand-up comedians, music stars, musicals and one-off shows as well as the annual Christmas pantomime.
But can you remember when Sir Cliff Richard performed at The Gaumont? When did Iron Maiden entertain the crowds?
And what year did Boyzone set hearts racing?
