Can you help these Suffolk Blue Cross cats and dogs find a home?

Could you open your home to one of these cats and dogs looking for new homes at the Blue Cross centre in Wherstead?

First up is the gorgeous Amber, a five year old Collie/German Shepherd cross. A smart but sensitive girl that loves to play and thrash her toys around.
She has a fun loving and affectionate personality but can become anxious.
An experienced owner would be best for Amber. She can live with older children and would preferably need to be the only dog in the home.

Next up this week is Phoebe the cat. This confident girl loves spending time with people and can’t get enough attention.
She is very sociable and always wants to be where the action is, often sitting in the garden during the summer.
Phoebe could live with school age children following a successful meeting at the centre, but would need to be the only cat in the house.

This is Roxy, a fun and affectionate girl that has a real zest for life. She simply loves to run and play with her toys and leap around.
Roxy is still young so she will need a home which can continue her training and help her learn about the world around her.
She will need to be the only dog in the home and unfortunately she can’t live with cats, but can live with older children that can support Roxy with her training.

Next on our list is Monkey, called so because as a kitten she loved climbing and hanging from curtains, but having grown out of that now, she much prefers climbing the odd tree to watch the world go by.
A middle aged lady, she is the perfect cat to sit on your lap.
Monkey would be okay living with older children but not with another cat or dog.

Meet the beautiful Sarah, a former racing greyhound that has raced around the track in Yarmouth, but now looking for a nice home to retire in.
A very friendly girl, she has quickly discovered her new favourite game to play is fetch, but afterwards she is quite happy to collapse in a comfy corner and snooze.
Sarah could live with a family with any age children following a successful meeting at the centre but can’t be re-homed with any other cats or dogs.

Last but definitely not least is Max, a very distinguished Siamese cat, looking for a new home to chill out in.
Max has previously lived with cats so could live with another relaxed feline and staff at Blue Cross will be happy to offer any advice on the best ways to introduce them.
He could also live with children as long as they meet at the centre first and could also live with a cat-friendly dog after a gradual introduction.
The process to adopt any of these pets is simple and begins with applicants completing a ‘Homefinder’ form.
This can either be completed online or in-house at the Blue Cross centre on Bourne Hill, Wherstead.
The re-homing fees for dogs aged over 16 weeks is £160 and the fee for cats is £65.
Where possible all pets are neutered, micro-chipped and will have had at least their first vaccination before going to new homes.
New owners have the benefit of four weeks of free pet insurance, as well as free behaviour support for the lifetime of their pet.
