Can you help these Suffolk Blue Cross cats and dogs find a home?

Could you offer a home to one of these cats and dogs at the Blue Cross centre in Wherstead?

First up on our list is the 13-weeks-old Floki, this little guy is still learning the world and would need people that can introduce him positively to new things in life.

New owners would need to have had large breeds of dogs in the past and know what having a puppy is like as he can be a lot of work.

He can find some new things a little scary so will need people that can be patient with him and also need people that can be about most of the day.

Meet the gentle Sage, she just can’t wait to find her new forever home

Once she get’s to know you she can be the perfect lap cat that loves getting a gentle fuss which will make her purr all night long.

Sage can be a little worried by loud or sudden noises so would need a quieter home which will help her relax.

Meet the young Tiger, a Lurcher who just before Christmas fractured his right back leg that is now on the mend.

Not quite able to do off lead exercise quite yet, Tiger fills his time with puzzles and training that can be done stationary as he needs lots of mental stimulation while he can’t run yet.

Tiger will need people around for most of the day as he is still young and will need plenty of mental stimulation to feel content, but once he has recovered will be as fun and lively as ever.

Next up on our list is King Arthur, a very sweet and affectionate who can be a little shy, but is slowly coming out of his shell day by day.

String toys are always a winner with Arthur as he loves to play as well as have an afternoon snooze.

Arthur rather uniquely also enjoys carrying through the post that comes through the door and would need to be in a home with children old enough to give him space when needed.

Here is Bonzo, a young and bouncy puppy that can’t wait to find his new home to run around and play in.

As Bonzo is still young and learning, he will need a new owner that can help introduce him positively to all the new things life has to offer.

Bonzo can sometimes lack confidence with new people but once he get’s to know you he can more than makes up for it, if you are used to bouncy dogs then Bonzo is perfect for you.

Last but not least on our list is Davey, found as a stray, he can’t wait to enjoy all those home comforts that he has missed out on.

Davey is a sweet and gentle natured cat who enjoys the company of people, he does have quite a loud meow though.

Davey would be best suited to a quieter home to relax in and have a lap or two to curl up and have an afternoon snooze on.

The process to adopt any of these pets is simple and begins with applicants completing a ‘Homefinder’ form.

This can either be completed online or in-house at the Blue Cross centre on Bourne Hill, Wherstead.

The re-homing fees for dogs aged over 16 weeks is £160 and the fee for cats is £65.

Where possible all pets are neutered, micro-chipped and will have had at least their first vaccination before going to new homes.

New owners have the benefit of four weeks of free pet insurance, as well as free behaviour support for the lifetime of their pet.
