They are days we can all remember - walking into the school gates dressed in uniform from an era gone by as part of a themed history day, just as these pupils at Britannia Road Primary School in Ipswich did.
And so on this day in June 1983, these pupils at Britannia Road Primary School in Ipswich brought their history lessons to life by dressing in attire fitted to the Edwardian era.
Both pupils and teachers got into character and dressed in anything from pleated shorts and waistcoats to straw hats and petticoats.
Fun aside, the Edwardian day also saw pupils reenact protests calling for women’s right to vote, as well as learning about the conditions of workhouses and traditional songs and dances.
The faces in these photographs show it was a day enjoyed by many of the pupils.
