A GARDEN wall has been destroyed today after a car ploughed through it, hurling bricks into a lounge.
The wall in Waterloo Road, off Chevallier Street in Ipswich, was badly damaged in the accident which happened just before 11.30am today.
The elderly female driver of the blue Ford Fusion which collided with the wall was unhurt in the smash at the junction of Blenheim Road, which also involved a parked silver Ford Focus car.
The son of the 83-year-old man whose garden wall was damaged said he and his father had been the house when the accident happened.
He said: “I heard a huge bang. I saw a brick come through the window.
“I wasn't worried as it was clear what had happened but the old lady who was driving was in shock.
