FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a car fire on the A14 in the early hours of this morning.
The blaze was reported to Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service at around 3.35am and two crews from headquarters in Colchester Road and one from Felixstowe fire station attended.
When they arrived they discovered a small fire in a car on the eastbound carriageway at the Seven Hills interchange.
Using two breathing sets and a foam hose reel the flames were extinguished and the incident was under control by around 4am.
