Car hits tree in crash at Hintlesham

POLICE and the air ambulance were attending a serious road accident on a Suffolk road today.

POLICE and the air ambulance were attending a serious road accident on a Suffolk road today.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 1.05pm after reports that a car had hit a tree on the A1071 between Hadleigh and Ipswich.

A man is believed to have been injured in the smash which happened near Hintlesham but spokeswomen from the police and ambulance crew could not confirm his condition.

The accident involved only a single vehicle – an N-registered Rover 414, five-door saloon.
