A DRIVER escaped uninjured when his car spun on oil and crashed into a roadside pole in Ipswich town centre.
A DRIVER escaped uninjured when his car spun on oil and crashed into a roadside pole in Ipswich town centre.
The crash happened at Civic Drive shortly before 9pm yesterday .
A man driving a black Toyota Altezza told police he skidded on oil and lost control of his car.
The car crashed into a post holding a litter bin and knocked it out of the ground.
The man gave a positive roadside breath test and taken to Ipswich Police Station, but was later released when a second test on a more accurate machine showed he was not over the legal alcohol limit.
The man was not injured and traffic kept flowing.
