Asterbury Place, in Aster Road, Ipswich, invited local people to celebrate Care Home Open Day.

It was among thousands of care homes across the UK to take part in the annual initiative, aimed at challenging perceptions of care homes, connecting residents with the community, and developing relationships across generations.

Residents and visitors took part in a flower wreath workshop, painting and friendship bracelet making.

Entertainment included live music from the Ricochet Band and a cabaret performance from Ipswich School of Dancing.
