SOME elderly people in Suffolk have today been left without care for more than a month due to a lack of social services' carers.The news comes on the day that the county council, which recently decided to give themselves a 25 per cent pay rise, announced plans to axe 200 care jobs.

It has led to fears that the county is in the grip of a home-care crisis, as the NHS continues its drive to get people out of hospital more quickly.
