CHILDREN will once again be able to collect much-needed money for their schools and nurseries when The Evening Star launches its third Cash For Schools campaign next week.

The Star has teamed up with Britannia building society for the second time this year and has thousands of pounds to give away.

From Monday onwards the Star will be printing tokens every day throughout the summer and schools are being urged to organise their collections as soon as possible.

The money can be spent on whatever your school, playgroup or pre-school needs most, be it books, PE equipment or computers, and there is no limit to the amount of tokens you can collect.

Evening Star brand manager Ben Collins said: "This is our third Cash For Schools promotion and it continues to get bigger and better.

"We hope to build on the success of our previous campaigns and I would urge schools to get their collecting mechanisms in place now so that they can keep collecting throughout the summer holidays."

A total of £25,000 is up for grabs and claiming the money could not be easier.

Between July 5 and September 18 we will be printing tokens every day. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays the tokens will be worth 2p and on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays they will be worth 1p.

All you have to do is cut out the tokens and take them to you school, playgroup or pre-school. They will then return them to us and we will send back a cheque to the sum of the vouchers.

Britannia chief executive Neville Richardson said they are delighted to be involved in this great give-away once again: "Ipswich and Suffolk are very important to us with more than 100,000 members in the area, so we have a big part to play in the community.

"This promotion means we can really give something back to an area that supports us so loyally. Every single school has a chance to benefit so get collecting today."

There is also a chance for one lucky school, playgroup or pre-school to earn themselves an extra £500 by registering details of how they would spend the money at their nearest Britannia branch.
