Casualty evacuated from barge at Woolverstone

Firefighters helped paramedics rescue an injured person from a barge at Woolverstone Marina this afternoon.

A specialist water rescue team from Princes Street, Ipswich, fire station and a crew from Holbrook were mobilised at 1.36pm.

Emergency services workers had evacuated the casualty by 2.17pm, and they were left in the care of the ambulance service.
