An inquest into the death of a man at his home in Hadleigh has failed to ascertain how he died.

Roy Rudhall, 64, was found at his home in Mary Clarke Close by police on June 24 after neighbours reported they had not seen him for more than 10 days.

He was found at the foot of his bed lying on the floor, although police confirmed there were “no signs of anything suspicious” when they attended.

The inquest, which was held at Beacon House in Ipswich yesterday, heard that a postmortem examination had not found any signs of trauma to his body, and that his body had already begun decomposing when he was found.

A toxicology investigation found no traces of drugs and no influence of alcohol.

Assistant coroner Nigel Parsley said: “The medical cause of death is unascertained and because of that I must have an open conclusion in relation to Roy’s death.”
