A MOTORBIKE fitted with a camera is on patrol today as the latest weapon in the fight to keep Ipswich's parks safe.
Unveiled by Ipswich Borough Council in Christchurch Park the 'photo-bike' will be fitted with the latest CCTV technology.
A council spokesman said the bike will be used by staff to patrol the parks during daylight hours.
He said: "It is hoped the bike and rider will be a visible deterrent and will cut anti-social behaviour and car crime.
"The CCTV tapes will be monitored by parks staff with the help of the council's emergency services centre and will be sent to the police if necessary."
