ARE you concerned about a relative who is in a community hospital? Worried about care in the community? Or fed up with seeing a family member stuck in Ipswich Hospital waiting for a place in a residential home?

We want to hear from the people that are really being affected by Suffolk's current health crisis, and we are offering you the chance to put your questions directly to the lady at the top - Carole Taylor-Brown, chief executive of east Suffolk's primary care trusts.

Mrs Taylor-Brown has agreed to meet a group of our readers to allow them to put their problems and experiences to her in a face-to-face forum.

We would particularly like to hear from anyone who is:

Struggling to care for a family member in their own home.

Waiting for a friend or relative to be discharged from Ipswich Hospital but facing a long wait for the right kind of residential care.

Fearing for their job as the result of the proposals in the Changing for the Better consultation document.

Worried about what will happen to a family member who is in a community hospital.

We will be choosing four or five readers to meet up with Mrs Taylor-Brown but will be putting a selection of all the other questions we receive to her.

The meeting will be held on November 2 and the deadline for questions is October 28.

If you would like the chance to put your questions to Mrs Taylor-Brown send a brief description of your situation along with the main questions you would like to ask her to: Sarah Gillett, Evening Star, 30 Lower Brook Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP4 1AN, email sarah.gillett@eveningstar.co.uk or call Sarah on 01473 324791.
