A sponsored dog walk to help support the rescue of German Shepherds will take place in Ipswich this summer.

The event will take place from 1pm on Saturday, July 1 at Orwell Country Park in Ipswich, with dog walkers being encouraged to sign-up.

Funds raised in sponsorship will go towards the German Shepherd Dog Rescue charity.

Sue Tyler, dog behaviour practitioner for the charity and organiser of the event, said: “We have permission from the council and our navigator has been working with the park ranger so our route does not disturb any wildlife.

“After the walk, we have made arrangements to meet at the Thrasher pub garden area, for refreshment and to total up our funds.

“Thrasher management have been very supportive and are supplying water and biscuits for the dogs.”
