ORGANISERS of the Copdock Classic Motorcycle Club have handed over more than £6,000 to a variety of charities after a series of fund raising initiatives.
In all £1,500 has been donated to East Anglian Children's Hospice, £1,000 to Suffolk Ambulance Rescue Service, £1,362 Suffolk Acre, £500 Ipswich Hospital, £250 Ipswich Blind Society, £600 the scouts, £500 the Woodbridge Ward at the Ipswich Hospital, £300 Ipswich Exiles; and £100 to St John Ambulance.
"We are very pleased with the level of money raised from this year's events, particularly the main show at Copdock" said Sue Rudland, the club's press officer.
The annual show has outgrown the old site at Copdock where it has existed for 10 years.
"We are up in the 8,000 people attendance figures now so we need to expand our site to accommodate the public and exhibiters alike," added Ms Rudland.
Next year's event is to be held at the Suffolk Showground in Ipswich on October 6 and the organizers are confident of another successful show.
