A CHARITY event, cancelled because of bad weather in June, has been rescheduled today.
The Orwell Walk, organised by the Rotary Club of East Ipswich, will now take place on Sunday, September 7.
The walk, which has been running since 1977 and has raised more than £1million for charity, will see young and old marching through the Suffolk countryside.
Ray Walters, owner of Orwell Motorcycles which is sponsoring this year's event, said: “Ordinary people raise thousands of pounds for charities of all descriptions by taking part in the walk.
“Walkers can choose to walk the entire 25 miles or they can opt to set their own mileage.
“What could be more enjoyable than a beautiful walk in our delightful Suffolk countryside and all for a good cause? I really urge more people to register and take part.”
