Leanne Louise from Chelmsford is headlining an acoustic stage at the shopping centre on Friday with a 30 minute set, alongside performances by local acts across Friday and Saturday.

The event aims to welcome new students to the town, as well as giving local musicians a platform to perform to shoppers.

Sailmakers manager Mike Sorhaindo said: “This is a chance for up and coming artists to let a new audience hear their music. It’s also a great way to welcome new students to Ipswich and our stores will be offering plenty of student offers and promotions.

“I know how much our regular customers and visitors enjoy events such as this and I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing artists perform on stage.”
