Greater Anglia has urged its customers to check before travelling by train today, as services remain subject to delay, cancellation and alterations.

Train services running to and from Norwich may be cancelled or suspended, with disruption expected until the end of the day.

The Ipswich-Lowestoft, Norwich-Lowestoft and Norwich-Great Yarmouth lines remain closed, with no replacement bus services in place.

The operator has aimed to run a normal service on most routes this weekend, subject to planned engineering works, with a full normal timetable due to resume from Monday.

The company advised passengers: “From Monday to Friday, widespread disruption was experienced across the Greater Anglia network due to the severe weather conditions.

“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience you experienced travelling with us.

“Greater Anglia and Network Rail teams are continuing to work round the clock to keep services running.”

Ticket restrictions have been lifted for passengers unable to travel on pre-booked or advance purchase tickets between February 26 and March 4, so they can complete their journey at any point before the end of this Wednesday.
