The 31-year-old had already pleaded guilty to 16 counts of making indecent photographs of children under the age of 16 when he appeared at Bury St Edmunds Crown Court yesterday .
Williams, of High Street, Hadleigh, has been order to sign the Sex Offenders Register, on which his name will remain for the next seven years.
The car valeter's crimes were rumbled when a friend agreed to fix his computer.
Prosecutor David Taylor told the court at a previous hearing that the friend took the computer to Felixstowe police station who analysed the computer equipment and found more than 2,000 images stored on it.

His honour judge Nicholas Beddard ordered Williams to serve five months in jail for each offence, to run concurrently.
All charges have arisen from Suffolk police's Operation Queensbury which is part of the nationwide internet police crackdown codenamed Ore.
