A ceremony was held in Ipswich this morning with children from Rose Hill Primary School to celebrate the reopening of the extended Aldi supermarket in Hines Road.
A ribbon was cut by Sarah Barber, Mayor of Ipswich, following a building project which increased the size of the shop floor to 1,140 square feet as well as increasing the number of spaces in the store’s car park.
The larger store has also created a further 10 jobs in the town.
As a thank you to the pupils for turning up to open the store, Aldi has donated fruit, healthy snacks and water bottles as a treat to get the new term off to a great start.
Laurence Kidd, store manager, said: “We’d like to thank everyone for their patience while we worked to improve our store.
“The extra space created, as well as the new-look layout will improve the customer experience, now more people can enjoy our great quality products.”
