FIREFIGHTERS were called to a chimney fire at the historic Butt and Oyster pub in Pin Mill.
Flames took hold at just after 11am today and one crew from Holbrook were sent to the picturesque pub which overlooks the River Orwell.
The Butt and Oyster, made famous as the setting for the Arthur Ransome book We Didn't Mean To Go To Sea, remained open for business however.
The small fire was put out within 40 minutes.
A spokesman for the pub said: βIt was just a minor thing and we are still open - it is business as normal.β
