TRAFFIC on the A14 in Suffolk was held up today by a Christmas tree blocking the road.
One lane had to be closed as motorists swerved to avoid the tree in the westbound lane of the A14 at Rougham at around 8.50am today.
Police were not sure how the festive fir ended up in the carriageway.
To add to the problems, a lorry had also gone into a ditch and lost a wheel. Police were working to move the vehicle to reopen the outside lane.
